K-Span®, a renewable building system
Today everyone is looking for the perfect green product, we find everyone talking about renewable energy sources to combat the effects of carbon being dumped into our atmosphere. About cars that combat the depletion of our fossil fuel reserves which someday will be gone forever. About buildings materials that can be used to construct buildings and then removed and recycled into another product with a whole new life, everyone wants to go GREEN.
K-Span®, is such a building system, It is made of steel, more and more all metal products are being recycled, the price of these materials over time have been increasing in value. K-span® uses steel coils as a raw material to manufacture buildings panels on the construction site, using a machine called an “Automatic Building Machine®” or “Ultimate Building Machine®”, these machines are mobile factories that are moved to construction sites and there they manufacture buildings in a very short time frame. These K-span® machines, while using mostly steel to make buildings, can also use aluminum sheet metal to create the same buildings, making the building much more valuable in the future.
A K-span® building is an attractive durable building that can be used for many years, a lifetime even, and then when it is no longer needed the owner can disassemble the building and send it to be recycled into new steel products. While the raw materials to produce steel may be limited here on earth scientist are planning to mine the materials for steel from outer space some day, It seem that our solar system has an almost endless supply in the asteroid belt, and some day they plan to mine this supply.
Photos of K-span® buildings can be viewed on our photo gallery.
To get Information about PGI constructing you or your company a K-span® building or getting technical assistance in planning a K-span® project you can contact PGI by visiting our Contact us page and leaving a note. We have technical consultants on staff that can work with your engineering staff to design you the perfect K-span® project.

Steel Roofing A Generator for you Home
Getting a new roof for your home or business is a costly prospect. Many people will just avoid dealing with it until it becomes a major problem. Here is a new way to deal with the issue, put on a steel roof that will power you home or business and let it pay for itself.
Your new roof becomes a generator for your building, anytime the sun is shining you roof is producing electricity and saving money, money that you would have paid the electric utility, you no longer have to take the money out of your pocket. In fact when you are not using any electricity in your home your roof will produce electricity and feed it back into the grid and in most, if not all state, the law mandates that the utility company has to pay you for this electricity. Just think your home becomes part of the solution for fixing the environment instead of adding to the problem.
Many State Governments and even the Federal Government are providing ways to reduce the cost of installing this new roof. There are grants, tax credits and low cost loans. Some states have a program called “PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy financing)”. This program allows you to pay for you new roof by paying additional money to you property tax bill. You can learn more about these programs by following this link DSIRE.
You can view some video of solar systems that are recieving benifits from the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) there are many of these types of programs all over the United States.
Take the time to learn more about the new thin film solar cell technology and allow PGI to turn you green.
From the beginning it was obvious that contractors would be needed to help fight the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many contractors have worked there providing vital services to the fighting forces in these war zones. Contractors are providing, security, training, support services, logistic, construction and many other vital services in these ware zones.
Construction was and still is one of the major needs it Iraq and Afghanistan, to meet the need for facilities to live and work from, many military organizations are asking constructions contractors to build all over these two war zones. Contractors that are from these regions and from around the world are working together and very hard to meet this growing need for construction.
Many local contractors are not equipped to deals with the requirements of U.S. Military contracts; they lack the skills and know how to get the job done efficiently. Because of this fact many of the contracts require that U.S. based firms become the prime contractor and hire only local subcontractors to do the construction while the prime contractor providers the guidance, training and leadership to fulfill the contract, to act as mentors to these local companies.
PGI has focused its efforts in these regions and is working with these local to teach and guide them in helping us complete our mission. PGI is bringing new technologies to the table. With the USE of K-span®, SteelMaster monoshell pre-engineered buildings and commercial roofing with solar technology, we are introducing new and exciting opportunities to these local companies.
Future Blogs will future some of these projects.
